To celebrate the Jordan 1’s impact on 1980’s skateboarding, Nike SB and Jordan Brand have teamed up on this very limited Jordan 1 SB, a first for the model. Designed by Craig Stecyk – once the co-owner of Santa Monica’s legendary Jeff Ho Surfboards and Zephyr Production, which was immortalized in 2001′s Dogtown and Z-Boys and the 2005 film Lords of Dogtown – the shoe takes inspiration from Stecyk’s “Northwest Passage” art gallery showing of the late 1980’s, which incorporated bronze casting and spray paint. That finish helped to inspire the shoe’s iridescent upper, and Stecyk’s tribal handwritten “AJ ONE SB” typeface that is found along the heel and insole. The shoe releases 10am Saturday, March 15th.
